The Lea Austin Tri-Bunk configuration consists of the regular Austin bunk bed (twin-over-twin or twin-over-full, it makes no difference), and the 618-936 Tri-Bunk Extension -- which is really just an additional twin-size loft bed attached to the main frame at a 90 degree angle. The extension is comprised of the bed end, guard rails and its own ladder. The sum total of this exercise are three sleeping places (one of which can be full sized) plus the bonus of some empty space below the additional Tri-Bunk loft which can be either filled with matching furniture or left empty to be used as play area.
